Hiya folks
I had inquired a short while ago at a Renderosity forum, I was just mostly curious in the process of how anyone who has ever made a "hair product" has gone about the process - I was only looking for tips and tricks, all though folks were still quite vague, but still extremely helpful! http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?message_id=3145047&ebot_calc_page#message_3145047
There was mention of PhilC's super cool, royalty free skull caps at his web site, located - well Here's the link... http://www.philc.net/freestuff_archive.htm I found this to be a super start - as well as, after that, just concentrate on making wispy strands of chunky, flat polygon pieces, then work with transperencies and textures from there
I've been wanting to do more with it, and wish I had some sort of examples to show, but I'm not only a novice, but have become busy with college and work-work
I hope that gets you off to a super start, though I'm excited, myself, to try shaping the chunky/polygon strands in Wings3D, myself, whenever I can find the time to do it
Have a super evening, you guys And I can't wait to see what might come of it in the future! *hugs* and good luck!

Thanks for that Ruby I'd never thought of using PhilC's skull caps as a starting point before
I think also, it would help to have a good sketch or photo of the type of hair you are trying to create handy so you can see as you work if you're going in the right direction or not with your work. _________________ AS3D
