There have been many rumours floating around regarding changes that are occurring here at PoserPros. We feel that it is only fair that we explain to you, our members, what is taking place so that we can put everyone's minds at ease.

Due to some upcoming initiatives by our parent company, DAZ Productions, Inc. the PoserPros store is going to officially close its door to customers on February 28, 2008. DAZ 3D will be providing a home for PoserPros products that pass DAZ 3D's product submission guidelines within its own website. This is an exciting venture for our merchants and most of the top name merchants in the industry will be joining us as well. This is a great opportunity for not only our merchants but our customers too. You will finally be able to find all the best products and top merchants in one place.

While the store maybe closing - there are many items that will not be moving to our new home. A good portion of these items are going to be retired from sale altogether. So the merchants have decided that from the 14th until the 28th of February, PoserPros will be having one huge sale on these items and you will definitely be able to pick up a bargain or three or more! Keep an eye out for our newsletter for more details.

With past purchases that customers have made - the store will remain as an archive and you will be able to request resets and download any of your previous purchases. Much as you can now. You will not lose your past purchase history.

What is happening with the rest of the PoserPros site?

As part of the upcoming initiatives, Daz 3D will be providing a new community gathering place that will enable us to maintain our connections and friendships that many of us have built up over the years. The PoserPros forums will continue to operate as per normal until the new gathering place is up and running. At that time, the PoserPros forums will be locked and will serve as a temporary archive for users. We know there is a lot of information and a wealth of tutorials that has come from our members over the years, and it is important that this knowledge is not lost to our community. DAZ 3D will be preserving much of this content from the learning forums, though the other general forums areas will also remain as read-only.

We know that this is a big change and that many people will feel that they are losing their home. We can understand that feeling, as most of the PoserPros staff feel the same way. Over the years we have endeavored to provide a site that has not only been welcoming and informative for its existing members but for newer members as well. We have enjoyed the special monthly celebrations like our Halloween Spooktaculars; many of us still remember the feeling of that first rush when going shopping during a PoserPros Buy One Get One Free sale; we have mourned the passing of some of our friends and colleagues and made new friends along the way; seen some of the best creative art in our galleries; and we have even enjoyed some of the more entertaining flame fests in the Coop. But now the time has come for us to move on into the next evolution of our community.

We hope that you will join us in this new endeavor.

I will miss this place too.

Here's where I started as a merchant, found many good friends, and a community willing to answers when I had a technical (or personal problem). So it will always have a special place in my heart.

But not al change is bad. Every ending is a new beginning in my book

I would just like to note and highlight the excellent way this has been received and conducted by Paul and all of us PP vendors. There could have been a major fallout with a lot of bashing of the PP admins and DAZ and hence US vendors, but instead we are going into this with maturity and can continue our stores (elsewhere, if we choose to do so) with dignity and professionalism that is to be expected from a good vendor. *clap clap clap* Yay us!!!

I will miss this place too.

This really sucks...

I came here to escape the DAZforumites. I'm going to really miss this place. A great rel-world community here as well as the overall selection of items in the store for a multitude of figures. This only leaves a handfull of places to hang out, but none of them have a community of this size.

Since I dont know who's going "poof", there are a few things I'm going to snatch out of my wishlist.

So, wheres the 'coop moving too since Poserpros was the last bastion of being able to *ahem* question and rant about society and even engage in a battle of religion, wits, and ideals?

I was forgetting: thank you to Guarie, the staff and the merchants for having offered us such a cool website.

It is and will always remain a website with a SOUL.
A soul, yes a soul, it is what is lacking to a lot of websites who dare to say that they are the best ones.

I will miss PP and I hope that one day, we will again be part of a community with an opened mind and an equal sense of equity in the same spirit that is the one of the PP community. It is the best I can hope and wish.

Thank you PP and everybody for what you offered us.

I feel bad.... I know this isn´t the end, but I feel like a door is closing, I´ve closed many doors in my life and always, at some point or other along the way, I wished I hadn´t.... it´s not up to me this time, yet it´s scary... I know I should feel some excitement about starting anew, I ussually do when it happens (and it´s happened to me a lot) but I can´t this time, I felt good here, I felt accepted, I felt at home.... I don´t feel at home in my real life, anywhere.....

I´ll miss you all tons. I´ll miss this place, the promotions that kept us coming every day on special hollydays, the bogofs and all that stuff that made us feel we were doing something fun with a whole lot other people.
I´ll miss the people who believed in me, that dosen´t happen very often to me, yet here I got people who considered me capable, who liked my work and who helped me out.
There were also people I admire, that I could look upon to, and I could share things with them! they were real, not somebody on a poster...
I hope things won´t change too much, the good things, I hope they accompanie everybody whereever we meet again.

I want to say Thank You to Paul (Guarie, for those that don't know) and each member of the staff for making this place not only a fun place to sell, and shop, but a place of community and camaraderie. I hope the spirit of sharing and learning will follow us wherever we go.

Remember, it's not the format or name of a place that makes it - it's the people therein. We may be changing neighborhoods, but hopefully we will all be moving with the spirit of adventure, and making our new neighbrhood something special, just as this one has been.

My thanks go to Paul and all of the admins here who have helped me grow as a content developer. It is sad and ironic that this move comes just as my store is becoming successful enough to compete with my part-time day job.

I will miss this place and the people tremendously. I realize that it is not like everyone I know here is going to go "poof" when the site closes but it will be more difficult to keep in touch. I also want to thank Paul and the other admins, moderators, and staff for having made this site such a fun and comfortable place to be. Hope to see folks out and about at other sites and wish everyone the very best.
