Have you ever needed an Ambulance Driver, DEA Agent, Paramedic, Deputy Sheriff, USPS Mail Carrier, FBI Agent, United Parcel-type Delivery Guy, or just a plain Cop? Where are they when we need them? Well, now all of these uniformed personnel as well as many others can be at your command with the Men In Uniform! Series by Mikenron.
The first several packs in the series feature highly detailed material textures for the M3 Everyday Wear clothing that is available in the DAZ Platinum Club. This unique product, with its multiple material zones, morphs and trim options makes it an excellent basic mesh that can be made to resemble several contemporary uniform styles. These textures will add the finishing touches to bring your uniformed characters to life.
Of course anyone can flood-fill a template with blue fabric and call it a cop, but PLEASE don't confuse this product with that sort of thinking. These are REAL textures, accurately scaled and color matched to the appropriate uniform. Examine one of these "solid" textures closely and you will notice a whole world of micro-detail and subtle shading that make these textures render as real fabric rather than fabric-painted plastic.
And then there are the authentic patches, badges, I.D. tags and silk-screened emblems which add to the realism. Unfortunately, due to the mesh construction and UV mapping of the Everyday Wear, accurate patch or emblem placement is not possible in some areas without severe distortion. So, instead of following strict uniform codes, we have tried to capture the overall impression of the characters in uniform, following accepted standards whenever we can.
Pack #2 contains uniforms for the following professions:
2 Deputy Sheriff
2 California Highway Patrol (CHiP)
Fugitive Recovery Agent (State Sheriff)
Fugitive Recovery Agent (independent)
Plus 6 Generic (no emblems) uniforms for adding your own insignia
All of the packs in this series have been optimized for EACH different version of Poser 4, ProPack AND Poser 5. Seperate customized MAT pose files are included for each version. Poser 5 users will benefit from the advanced shader technology used and the inclusion of displacement mapping to give real 3D depth to badges & patches as well as to create 3D "cuffs" on trans-mapped edges of short sleve shirts and short pants.
The product also ships with several utility MAT files to hide or show various parts of the uniforms.
Every effort has been made to create as realistic a product as we can. We hope you will enjoy using this series which will be expanded over time with other textures, accessories and props to complete your uniformed man. And let us add, in case you haven't noticed yet, these guys are HOT!
