Geometry Loading is the process of loading meshes into the Poser virtual workspace for use as actors, props, and so on. This is generally done in the Actor Predeclaration section.

There are several different ways to load up geometry:

Geometry Loading generally (but not always) occurs in combination with the arcane storageOffset? directive. geomCustom does not use this line, but all other forms will be preceded by it when Poser saves a file. It is not known what this does and tests indicate that leaving it out does not cause any problems that are known to date.

In addition there is also Alternate Geometry Handling? (as seen in genitals on first-generation millenium humans and in Poser-included figures?, as well as in other changing geometry figures?) which also employs a form of geometry loading, though this loadnig occurs in the definition? section rather than the declaration section.
