Modelling is the process of creating the
mesh of a 3D model. In the context of
Poser, modelling deals with the creation of meshes for use inside the Poser program, also referred to as
content creation.
Because the Poser program has little to no capacity for modelling within it (apart from stacking
primitive props
? and deforming them with magnets
?), modelling is of vital importance to the Poser community
?. It's the source of all the 'stuff' that one can render
? inside of Poser.
There are a number of different
modelling programs used within Poser. Many of these programs are often used to render Poser scenes. Several free modelling programs
? exist to those who cannot afford the more expensive professional programs.
Within these, there are several
modelling techniques used. Some programs such as Discreet 3DS Max
? support multiple different approaches, while others such as the free Wings 3d
? only support one or a very few approaches.
When developing Poser content
?, there are several things to remember in order to create
poser ready models.
