| | A polygon is generally defined as a facet declared by defining the vertices that make it up in a given winding order.
Some modelling programs require facets to be considered different from polygons, limiting facets to 3 sides, while others consider them to be the same thing and do not distinguish between them.
The wavefront object specifications allow a polygon to be made up of any number of vertices. Poser will not acknowledge polygons of over four vertices.
