 Describe PoseFiles here.
to:
Poser pose files have a ".pz2" file extention (there are other types of Poser file that can pose things such as ".fc2", "cm2" and ".lt2"). They are used to alter variables in an element that is loaded in a Poser document.

The most common use for a pose file is to set the key values joint rotations for a character. Pose files created from within the Poser 4 or Poser 5 interface can optionally set the key values for targetGeom (morph) channels.

Pose files can be created outside of the Poser interface (e.g. in a text editor). Pose files created outside of Poser can have a much wider range of application.

Some uses for pose files are: MAT poses that change material settings. MOR poses that set the key values for targetGeom (morph) channels. Scaling poses that change the key values for scaling channels. Delta Injection (DIP) poses that load a morph targets deltas into a targetGeom channel. Parenting poses that set or change the parent of an actor, prop, light, camera, or other poser element. ERC (Enhanced Remote Controle) Injection poses that inject ERC slaving code into channels. It seems that just about anything inside a Poser channel can be added or changed by the application of a pose file. Channels themselves can not be added via a pose file.

Note that if applying a pose to a prop that does not have a figure as its root parent, the prop must be declared in the pz2 as an actor not as a prop, and that a figure must exist in the document before any pose file can be applied.
