Spline surfing is a modelling technique used to create realistic-looking
drapery which incorporates
loft modelling.
In this technique, the folds of a piece of cloth are outlines with splines, and then a single simple curve is lofted along each. The seperate lofts are then converted to meshes and the edges of each strip sewn togehter by
welding the vertices.
